How should PPE (personal protective clothing) be laundered and stored?

Always launder PPC after fires — ideally at the station with a dedicated machine. Run an empty rinse cycle after washing PPC. Keep a spare clean set at all times. Do NOT transport PPC in personal vehicles (especially with children present). Store in sealed bags in the boot if transport is unavoidable. Clean the inside of helmets, not just the outside.
